Join a Project Trip
W H O : Students, IB Diploma students, teachers, professionals, anyone else
A B O U T : During our 3-week Project Trips, you travel with a team of up to ten, stay in the rural village of Mayana, and work alongside the locals. You apply your personal strengths and execute your own project in the areas of art, business development, construction, health, nutrition, language, sports, or another personal interest. MCP provides the necessary tools and support and pairs you up with a teammate from the community. Project trips can be aligned with the requirements for CAS for International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma students. Project participants qualify through commitment.
Feel inspired to join? Contact us telling us you’re interested, and we’ll be in touch.
Complete an Internship
W H O : Recent highschool graduates, university students, young professionals
A B O U T : Internships allow you to gain experience in an ongoing or planned MCP project or programme that is relevant to your career and future plans. You will travel to Namibia for four to 12 weeks and stay in the Mayana Community. You won’t be travelling with a team, but of course, you won’t be there alone. You can read more about past internships here.

A B O U T : Are you writing a research paper for school or university, such as a “Facharbeit”, “Seminararbeit”, a bachelor or master thesis and have a topic idea that could advance our projects and programmes in Mayana? Can E-Learning be a Pathway to Agripreneurship in Rural Communities? A Case Study using Hydroponics in Mayana, Namibia (master’s thesis)

Become a Sponsor
W H O : Businesses
A B O U T : Sponsors are usually businesses that support us through fundraising events or by supplying goods or services. In return for their support, we promote our sponsors on our website, social media, and at events. Sponsors are eligible to receive tax receipts on donations but may choose to make the cost of the sponsorship a business expense instead. As far as a company is concerned, it is often more advantageous for them to sponsor an event rather than make a donation.
Examples of sponsorships include:
Services and/or expertise
Car rental, accommodation, insurance for project trips
Facilities for events
First aid kits, etc.
Flyers, banners, business cards, and other marketing materials
Shirts, caps, and other merchandise
Website domain/hosting costs
Food and drink (for events)

Become a Partner School
W H O : Schools, IB Schools
A B O U T : As a partner school, you guarantee your students a number of spots on our Project Trips, a unique three-week global learning opportunity. Our trips are designed to help students develop a sense of responsibility as global citizens and provide a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take ownership by planning, carrying out, and reflecting a project designed with service in mind. Learn more by reading about the experiences of our past trip participants.
A partner school commits to actively supporting the promotion, planning, funding, and organization of Project Trips. Partner schools send teachers/parents along as chaperones. A partner school actively supports the development and training for CAS project leaders and provides funding and fundraising events equivalent to a partner of MCP.
Of course, we also provide opportunities for those in the school community who aren’t joining a trip, such as subject-relevant workshops, and fairs for all ages. Additionally, we promote our partner schools on our website, social media, and at events.
